INSTRUMENTS:

At Red Notes we understand that instruments are expensive and often when a child begins to learn an instrument there is a period where the child is really trying out the instrument to see if they like it. So rather than parents buying an instrument only to have the child quit in a couple of months, at Red Notes you can hire the instrument safe in the knowledge that at any time after the 4 month minimum period you can hand the instrument back to us.

THE BENEFITS OF A MUSIC EDUCATION

Music education has been shown to improve a child's performance in school. The science journal 'Nature' found that children who attended music lessons were more successful in school than those who did not. Music aids development of social skills and enhances ability to learn languages. The practice of an instrument engages the imagination, fosters flexible thinking, develops disciplined effort and builds self-confidence.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM:

Students are taught in classes of only 2 to 5 students ensuring direct contact with the teacher.

Lessons are of 30 minutes each and are held either during or after the school day. Lessons consist of music theory (the ability to read and understand music) as well as the practical ( ability to play their instrument).

Also included are weekly band or ensemble rehearsals. Students are enthusiastically encouraged to perform at assemblies and at the concerts that Red Notes organise on behalf of the school. Your child will receive a complete, rounded musical education at a cost of just $9.90 per lesson.
